on the way to the newsagent to buy something to read for a working day

In every working life, there comes a point where you no longer feel like doing anything - working, living, spending and basically enjoying life. It is at this point where people begin that very cliche vicious cycle of depression and where happiness only comes in minute portions and satisfication is at the expense of other people. That is me. But the only difference is that I have something to look forward to. Something that I have always wanted but never have been able to do due to financial, time and other constraints - I am going to Melbourne for a short break and some much needed RT and ES - Retail Therapy and Excessive Spending.

Even as I sit here at work ignoring all the deadlines and contributing to my weekly "column," I can't help but to think of all the great things that Melbourne has to offer. The shops, trams and Crown. The excitement is building and the suspense almost unbearable. I know that from other people who have been say that Melbourne isn't that great of a city to visit, but this will be my first time and I'm so looking forward to it. I so need a holiday.

The holiday will also see my fly Qantas for the first time and see me venture out into a different state for the first time too. I'm so excited. Are people in Victoria different to New South Walers? Are they uglier? Are they poorer? Are they smellier? Are they dumber? But the most important question is will I get arrested?

All the questions I hope to answer soon.

I'm so excited.

Hey how you been, I heard from Chris that you visited Melbourne and decided to drop by your blog.

How was it? Did you go see Springvale?.. the Victorian equivalent of Cabramatta!
